Headline experience across four lines

James spent several years performing his illusion show at sea as a headline act, working with Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises, Seabourn on ships including the Seabourn Odyssey, Sea Princess, Splendour of the Seas, P&O Oceana and P&O Oriana.

Cruise entertainment directors are booking against a specific set of constraints: limited rehearsal, a different venue every contract, a new audience every week, and no room for an act that needs managing. James built his show inside those constraints rather than adapting a land show to fit them.

Two shows from one performer

The illusion show is a ninety-minute fly-on act with approximately sixty-four kilograms of equipment, performable solo or with an assistant, and suited to anything from a small lounge to a main theatre.

Alongside it, James performs a full stage hypnosis show, which is consistently one of the strongest draws on a ship because the passengers become the show. Booking one performer for both gives an entertainment programme two distinct headline nights without two sets of flights and fees.

James trained in hypnosis, hypnotic language and NLP through Dr Richard Bandler and NLP Life, and delivers talks that combine demonstration with practical content on suggestion, focus and changing habits. On enrichment-led itineraries this works well alongside the evening shows.
